On a design journey
I like to think of my career in design as a journey. For me, it started as a kid growing up in small-town Illinois spending my free time drawing.
This interest in art continued into high school and eventually led to a Fine Arts major in College where I was introduced to graphic design. I knew instantly this was what I wanted to do. Over the years I have worked in branding, B2B marketing, and even used-car ads for my local newspaper. However, one constant through those experiences was finding ways to continuously improve my ability to visually solve problems and communicate with viewers and users. Whether teaching myself to sketch with a ballpoint pen or learning new digital design software to improve workflows—my journey continues each day.
